Mei Lin

Mei Lin is my adopted cousin from China. She was born with a double cleft palate and had trouble hearing things. When my aunt and uncle adopted her, she had her hearing fixed about four months after the adoption. Now she can hear fine and dances to music constantly with a smile on her face. She is almost two years old learned how to walk by herself a few days ago, and is taking great advantage of that, getting into all sorts of trouble. :) Here she is when she went trick or treating with her mom, dad, and my siblings and I. She didn't seem to get the point there was candy underneath the wrapper. :)

She decided she was going to have ham for dinner.

Monarch

My friend and I found a Monarch Caterpillar a few weeks ago, so I'd like to show you the stages it went through. Oh yes, and his name is.... *drum roll* Marvin Peetwuff. Strange, I know. Hehe.
Anyway. Back to business. Er, we didn't get around to taking pictures of him as a caterpillar, so here are two of him in a chrysalis. Anyway. Back to business. Er, we didn't get around to taking pictures of him as a caterpillar, so here are two of him in a chrysalis.
And here are two of him as a butterfly. My sister took one of these, I'm not sure which one... :)

Spicefan

I am absolutely crazy about spices, seeing as I put spices on any food I can reach. This includes frozen peaches, Black Forest Ham, Colby Jack Cheese, mashed potatoes(I think I put about ten spices in them, making it taste nasty), and many other random foods. Here are a few photos of some spices in our kitchen. Hmm. The computer is being difficult, such as not letting me type the names of yonder herbs and spices above or under the photos. :( I'll just post them right here....

1. Mace

2. Cumin

3. Crushed Cloves

4. Mustard Powder
5. Arrowroot
6. Chili Powder
7. Fennel Seeds
8. Chipotle
9.Tarragon Leaves

10. Brown Sugar

11. Smoked Paprika
12. Rosemary
13. Dried Mexican Oregano

14. Dill weed

15. Red Pepper Flakes

Floral Photography

Here, as you know, is where I will post my snapshots of floral, or floral-related pictures. For now there are only seven, but I've taken some more that haven't been downloaded onto the computer, so I can't post them yet. But I will as soon as possible!
So here's the first one, a Purple Wave Petunia.

This here is a Purple Thistle I found growing in some gravel.

The flower to the right is a Pink Hibiscus.

To the left is a Bachelor's Button.

To the right is the bud of another Pink Hibiscus.

And hey! What do you know? Yet another Pink Hibiscus. But there's a twist this time. It's to the left! The plot thickens!

And finally, the last picture(for now), a Surprise Lily that grows in my mother's garden. It's certainly not the best picture of a Surprise Lily, but then again, none of them are! Well, I mean, none of them are the best pictures of the flower that they are.

...

I think you know what I mean.

Pet Page

Here's a few pictures of my/my family's pets. The first one is our Miniature Schnauzer, Jack, who had carried home a stick from when we were taking an evening stroll.

This is Jack carrying a corn husk around the house that he found on our deck.
The pictures above and below are photographs of my parakeet, Flynn. These are me and my sister's parakeets. The one to the left is Flynn, mine, the one in the middle is Hank, my sister's, and the one to the right is Hark, who is also my sister's.
The next few pictures are of me and my sibling's baby turtles that we caught in a pond.

This is Bobby, a baby Painted Turtle.

This is Tickles, another baby Painted Turtle.
And this is Phil, an Alligator Snapping Turtle.

Tickles climbing on top of Bobby.
